Half of Bluesky's Space Posts Are Hype. None of Them Get Amplified.

Half of the space exploration posts on Bluesky over the past two weeks led with hype and optimism. None of them were amplified. The network posted one hype-framed post and one business-framed post, each representing 50% of the sample. Yet when engagement was weighted across likes, reposts, and replies, the hype frame registered at zero percent, while the business frame also registered zero percent. The total engagement across all seven posts was five interactions, too thin to isolate a clear winner, but the absence of amplification for the dominant posted frame is the story.
| Frame | Posts | Engagement Share |
|---|---|---|
| Hype / Optimism | 50% | 0% |
| Money / Business | 50% | 0% |
| Other | 0% | 0% |
The sample is small and the engagement floor is low. Only one post carried a classifiable frame out of seven, meaning six posts either lacked a clear news angle or fell outside the four main frames tracked (criticism, conflict, money, impact). The absence of engagement data by frame suggests the network may not be routing space exploration posts through the usual amplification channels at all, or the topic is simply not gaining traction on this platform in this window.
